Meet The Storytellers

My Southern Miss was created by three women whose own Southern Miss experiences inspired every page - from the traditions they treasured to the places they loved most.

  • Jordan Cutchall

    Jordan earned her bachelor's in elementary education and master's in curriculum and instruction from Southern Miss. Her USM story includes Alpha Delta Pi, Sigma Alpha Iota, and the Pride of Mississippi color guard.
    BEYOND THE BOOK

    She lives in Pass Christian with her husband, Chad, and children, Kai and Maya, and enjoys time with her stepson, Parker. She loves the Mississippi Gulf Coast and time with family and friends.

  • Lakelyn Taylor

    Lakelyn studied communication and Spanish at Southern Miss before earning her master's and PhD in communication. At USM, she was involved in Alpha Delta Pi, Honors College, SGA, Speech & Debate, and the Speaking Center.

    BEYOND THE BOOK
    Always on the move, she balances travel with academic research, fiction writing, and her latest bucket list adventures.

  • Gracyn Taylor

    Gracyn graduated from Southern Miss in 2018 with a degree in Theatre Performance. A lifelong artist, she brought the campus to life through winding brick paths, historic oak trees, and the places she remembers most.

    BEYOND THE BOOK

    She lives in Roswell, Georgia, with her partner, Liam, and cat, Mushroom. Off the page, she enjoys Ren Faire cosplay and D&D.
